The product SIGNA RIG or (SIGNA Retrofit Insulated Glass) is also known as Scandinavian Insulated Glass of North America, from this the name SIGNA was derived.This technology and the components for the system were first developed and patented in Scandinavia by Ryszard Borys, a Polish architect, between the years of 1974 and 1976, in cooperation with an engineer named Leslaw Becker, and the Danish and Norwegian Institutes of Technology.
