WHAT IS SIGNA INSULATED GLASS?

Signa System is an insulating glass unit created out of existing single-glazed window by adding and sealing an additional layer of glass hermetically (air tight), using special, patented air spacers and corners. The spacers contain a moisture absorbing desiccant, which will keep your insulated glass free of moisture and condensation. The dead air space between the two layers of glass will keep you warm in winter, and insulate from heat in the summer. This process has been developed in Denmark by the founder and president of Signa System Co., Ryszard Borys, and has been in commercial use since 1976.

Level Up Your Safety: reinforcing the original glass that is already in place with a protective safety film to aide in active shooters, accidental breakage, hinder forced entry, and/or general vandalism. Application of safety film to glass + adding a second panel of glass. This method has been proven to change a bullets trajectory by 23% with safety glass only and up to 33% with safety film and glass.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF HAVING SIGNA INSULATING GLASS?

Insulating glass will eliminate drafts, condensation and frost on the glass area, water damage to the resident’s property and neighbors below. It reduces noise from the outside and frost or condensation on the metal framing will be reduced, if not totally eliminated.

HOW IS SIGNA GLASS INSTALLED?

The installation is usually done from unit and within the window framing. The installers will move and replace any window covering that might be in the way. The inside of the present window and both sides of the new glass are cleaned. The cleaning process consists of polishing the glass with powders, scraping and then cleaning with liquid cleaners. After the installation process is completed, the installers will of course, clean up after themselves. As there are no alterations to the framing, the process is clean and fast. Our installers will be in and out in a minimum amount of time.

HOW MUCH DOES SIGNA INSULATED GLASS INSTALLATION COST?

Signa System is an inexpensive way to convert your windows to insulating glass. It will perform exactly like any premanufactured insulating glass or thermopane. The only difference is the price it is inexpensive, because we utilize your existing glass, and no alterations to your window frames are required.

WILL SIGNA IG CHANGE THE LOOK OR OPERATION OF THE WINDOWS?

Visually and cosmetically, you will hardly know that SIGNA INSULATED GLASS is there. The only addition to the look of the present window is a narrow trim around the edge of the glass which is matched to the present framing. The window will operate just the way it did before the installation of SIGNA GLASS.
